As of June 1, 2018, the group previously operating under I2M Associates, LLC separated into two independent corporate entities with different objectives of geoscience and mining services and the other covering engineering services. This diversification allowed the Principals involved to focus on their fields of expertise to better serve the clients.

As in the past, the new group is a professional practice offering experienced geologists, hydrogeologists, and other geoscientists, and project managers with many years in environmental assessments, including remediation management, mineral exploration and mining, project management, and mergers and acquisitions. Related areas of expertise include forensic and feasibility studies in the environmental and mining industries, and environmental site, due diligence and impact assessments, in addition to special projects for State and Federal governments, and the legal community. I2M personnel have performed, supervised, or advised on projects covering most aspects of the environmental industry. Within industry, the associates of I2M have served within senior corporate technical management of multi-disciplinary environmental engineering consulting groups and industry. Through I2M, industrial clients, consulting companies, state and federal governments, and attorneys have access to experienced engineering and geoscience personnel and their collective expert services covering the full-life cycle of environmental business operations from conception thru remediation to closure and/or redevelopment.
We offer a range of specialized services requiring experienced forensic investigators where integrity and impartially are without question and stand as the hallmark of the I2M reputation. For the mining industry, I2M has been called on to provide independent assessments of mining ventures, mineral exploration programs, and acquisition and mergers worldwide.

Environmental Consulting & Natural Resource Development
I2M has been built around a widely recognized professional geologist/hydrogeologist, Michael D. Campbell, P.G., P.H., who is a graduate of Rice University and the Ohio State University, serves as the Senior Principal and Chief Geologist / Chief Hydrogeologist. He provides management of operations and technical oversight on a variety of projects in the U.S. and overseas. Over the past decades, Mr. Campbell has served the CONOCO mining group in Australia and Wyoming; Teton Exploration, Div. of United Nuclear Corporation in Casper as District Geologist; and as a consultant to Texas Eastern Nuclear, Inc.; Pioneer Nuclear, Inc.; Omega Energy Corporation in Houston; and as an employee in a number of Houston-based national environmental engineering groups as Senior Hydrogeologist and later Chief Hydrogeologist, such as Law Engineering, and Senior Management Consultant for ERM, and in similar roles in Seattle and Houston.
For the DuPont Environmental Group (DERS) in the early-1990s, he served as Regional Technical Manager with line-responsibility for five departments (i.e., geology, environmental services, injection well services, design and remediation engineering), during which he recruited a number of top professionals, many of whom he drew from prior associations. When DERS changed their operating philosophy he moved on and spent the ensuing 20 years in private practice as a senior consultant, expert witness and consulting expert, principal instructor, and senior program manager before joining I2M Associates, LLC in 2010 (more).
In recognition of his professional contributions over the years, Mr. Campbell has been elected a Fellow in the Geological Society of America, a Fellow in the Society of Economic Geology, a Fellow (and Chartered Geologist) in the Geological Society of London, a Fellow in the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, a Registered Member in the Society of Mining and Exploration, as a European Geologist in European Federation of Geologists, and was a Founding Member of the Energy Minerals Division (EMD) of AAPG in 1977. In pro bono, he was appointed Chair of the Uranium (Nuclear and Rare Earth) Committee of EMD in 2004, and was elected President of EMD in 2010. More recently, he was elected Vice President – Eastern Texas for the American Institute of Professional Geologists – Texas Section in 2014.
M. David Campbell also serving as a Senior Principal and Senior Project Manager, is expanding the goals of I2M in the areas of environmental and natural resource investigations. His professional experience extends over more than 25 years in managing Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments and natural resource investigations with major environmental engineering and consulting companies such as ERM, Carter & Burgess, Delta Environmental, Alsay, M. D. Campbell and Associates, L.P., and others, much of which working with his father, I2M’s Senior Principal and Chief Geologist/Chief Hydrogeologist, Michael D. Campbell, P.G., P.H., C.P.G., on environmental and mining-related projects around the lower U.S. and in Australia, Vietnam, and Alaska.
Within industry, experienced I2M personnel have served as senior corporate technical management within multidisciplinary environmental engineering consulting groups and multiple industries, including the mineral resource and mining industries. Through I2M, industrial clients, consulting companies, state and federal governments, developers and attorneys have access to I2M Associates experienced personnel and their collective expert services covering the full life cycle of environmental business operations from conception through remediation.
Many Associates of I2M are licensed Professional Geologists and/or Hydrogeologists in a number of states, including Texas, Louisiana, Wyoming, Washington, and Alaska, and actively support national and international professional societies involved in expanding the geosciences, engineering and technical development of energy and mineral resources worldwide and off-world.
