Michael D. Campbell, P.G., P.H., I2M’s Executive Vice President and Chief Geologist/Chief Hydrogeologist, announced today that the Committee on Uranium, Thorium, and Rare Earths of the Energy Minerals Division (EMD) of the AAPG has released their Uranium FAQ (more).

Mr. Campbell was appointed Chair of UCOM in 2004 (more), and elected President of EMD 2010-2011 (more).

I2M President Welcomes James L. Conca, Ph.D. as New I2M Associate

I2M’s President announced this morning that the I2M expansion continues with the appointment of James L. Conca, Ph.D. to the growing group of senior management Associates. Dr. Conca specializes in energy selection and environmental impact.

Mr. Bost said that he is especially pleased that Dr. Conca has joined I2M in laying the foundation for a major expansion in the near future based on a business philosophy of organic growth and acquisitions, mergers, and joint ventures.

2016 Annual Report of the Uranium (Nuclear and REE) Committee of the Energy Minerals Division (AAPG) Released Today

Michael D. Campbell, P.G., P.H., I2M’s Chief Geologist/Chief Hydrogeologist, presented the Annual Report of the Uranium (Nuclear and REE) Committee by teleconference at the Annual Meeting of the Energy Minerals Division during the AAPG Conference on June 18 in Calgary, Canada. Mr. Campbell is Chair of the UCOM (more).

I2M Senior Project Manager, M. David Campbell, P.G., also serves as Special Consultant to UCOM.

A number of the I2M Associates are members of the UCOM Advisory Group, i.e., Roger W. Lee, Ph.D., P.G., James L. Conca, Ph.D., and David Rowlands, Ph.D., P.G., Samuel B. Romberger, Ph.D.

I2M Associates are also serving the UCOM as Special Consultants: Ruffin I. Rackley, and Bruce Rubin.

AIPG Texas Section Awards Shoemaker Graduate Scholarship and Foss Undergraduate Scholarship to Rice University Geoscience Students

Campbell, P.G., P.H., I2M’s Executive Vice President and Chief Geologist (Mining) / Chief Hydrogeologist (Environmental), is also serving as Vice President – Eastern Texas, of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) and presented an AIPG Texas Section Shoemaker Graduate Scholarship and an AIPG Texas Section Foss Undergraduate Scholarship to two students of the Earth Science Department at Rice University during the graduation awards ceremony (more).

The formal announcements were made earlier for all four of the scholarships awarded this year to Texas students by the AIPG Texas Section (more).

Campbell Presents at Houston Geological Society’s Engineering and Environmental Group Dinner Meeting

Michael D. Campbell, P.G., P.H., I2M’s Chief Geologist/Chief Hydrogeologist gave a 90-minute presentation on independent assessments of mineral resources and associated environmental issues during the dinner meeting of the Houston Geological Society’s Engineering and Environmental Group in Houston, Texas.

The presentation discussed mineral deposits in Australia (gold, uranium, phosphate, and potash), Vietnam (gold), Texas (uranium), and Alaska (uranium, thorium, and rare earths).

Campbell Receives National AIPG Section Leadership Award

Henry M. Wise, P.G., C.P.G., President, AIPG Texas Section and Rima Petrossian, Ph.D., P.G., C.P.G., Vice-President, Western Texas, announced that I2M’s Michael D. Campbell, P.G., P.H., C.P.G. has been selected to receive the National AIPG Section Leadership Award for his efforts to:

  1. reactivate the Texas Section of the AIPG,
  2. maintain the AIPG-TX website presence via son David’s management through the years of inactivity,
  3. expand the website’s coverage and usefulness to the members of the Section, and
  4. pursue other Section-building activities in his role of Vice-President, Eastern Texas.

The formal presentation was made at the AIPG Annual Business Luncheon held in Anchorage, Alaska on September 18 (more).
