Dr. Mustafa Saribudak, P.G. publishes in Bulletin of the South Texas Geological Society

Jeffrey D. King, P.G., President and CEO of I2M Associates, LLC in Seattle announced today that I2M’s Associate Geophysicist, Dr. Mustafa Saribudak, P.G. has just published a paper in the Bulletin of the South Texas Geological Society this month on how resistivity and natural potential (NP) methods together help to characterize subsurface geology (more).

Dr. Saribudak was also just appointed as Treasurer of the Austin Geological Society.

Campbell Elected Vice President, Eastern Texas – AIPG-TX

Jeffrey D. King, P.G., President and CEO of I2M Associates, LLC in Seattle learned today that Michael D. Campbell, I2M’s Executive Vice President and Chief Geologist/Hydrogeologist, has been elected to the Board of the Texas Section of the American Institute of Professional Geologists, (AIPG-TX) and will be serving as Vice President, Eastern Texas (more). Mr. Campbell has been a member and Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) since 1976, more than 37 years. Mr. Campbell said that “I have joined the new Board to help revitalize the Texas Section and to support the AIPG in its efforts on behalf of professional geologists throughout the U.S. and the World.”

Campbell Appointed Executive Vice President of I2M Associates, LLC

Jeffrey D. King, P.G., President and CEO of I2M Associates, LLC, announced this afternoon at the Seattle office that he has formally appointed Michael D. Campbell as the Executive Vice President of I2M Associates, LLC. Mr. King said that Mr. Campbell has been serving in that function over the past few years so he might as well make it official by announcing his appointment today. “The Company is about to embark on some new ventures and this action will serve to streamline Company operations,” Mr. King said. Mr. Campbell continues to serve in his primary functions as Chief Geologist/Hydrogeologist for the company.

Strategic Minerals, plc. shipping magnetite to U.S. and Asian markets

Strategic Minerals, plc., an I2M Client, has begun to ship magnetite to U.S. and Asian markets from the Cobre Mine in New Mexico (more1). SM earlier announced favorable results from their drilling program at the Iron Glen project located in NE Queensland encountering high-quality magnetite but also significant silver, lead, zinc, and copper from an associated mineralized trend at the Lead Belly prospect NW of the Iron Glen pit (more2). I2M prepared the CPR in 2011 for SM as part of their entry to the London AIM (more3). I2M also prepared the application for Iron Glen’s Mineral Development License in 2012, which was subsequently approved by the Queensland Government to place Iron Glen on a fast track to production as the resources are identified and evaluated.

Susan Evans, P.G. will serve as a Senior Geological Associate & Project Manager based in Seattle, Washington. She has extensive experience in environmental and mining projects (more). Mustafa Saribudak, Ph.D., P.G. will serve as a Senior Geophysical Associate and Translator & Interpreter (Turkish and French), and is based in Austin, Texas. He has conducted various types of geophysical surveys for both environmental and mineral exploration projects (more).

New “Field Alert” program in I2M Resource Web Portal

I2M Associates, LLC has initiated a new “Field Alert” program from within the Health and Safety Module of the I2M Resource Web Portal. This is to advise I2M associates and geoscientists wherever they are in the world concerning potential health threats or hazards when reporting on or working in the field. As reports come in to the I2M editors of the Web Portal, we will list them as “A Field Alert” via this link (Alert) and by the Navigation Tab on top right of the I2M web page shown as “Web Portal,” which contains lower in the page the introductory information regarding the Field Alert system in place (more).

Mohammed Njari Appointed Assistant Geological Associate

Jeffrey D. King, P.G., President of I2M Associates, LLC announced this afternoon in Seattle that Mr. Mohammed Njari, A.A. has been appointed as an Assistant Geological Associate in I2M’s Natural Resources Group. He offers a background in the geology of northern and central Africa and in the mineral resources of Morocco and will support I2M projects in the U.S. and elsewhere in the world, especially in Africa.

“Hydrogeologic Risks in the Groundwater Supply of Harris County, Texas: Radioactive Constituents, Natural Gas, & Growth Faults”
