A review of the typical uranium exploration and recovery methods in use today
As the featured presentation at the dinner meeting of the Environmental and Engineering Section of the Houston Geological Society, I2M Associates’ Michael D. Campbell, P.G., P.H. and Henry M. Wise, P.G. presented a review of the typical uranium exploration and recovery methods in use today, and discussed the local issues that inhibit uranium exploration and recovery as well as nuclear-power expansion in the U.S. Uranium exploration activities in the U.S. are expected to increase in the near future to provide fuel for the increasing number of U.S. nuclear power plants to be constructed over the next 10 years and beyond.
